SCDA One Act Play Festival 2005

Stirling District Round

This year's district round was held on our own ground in the McLaren Hall, Killin.
The first night gave us 4 plays:-

The QP Ga by Alan Kirk performed by Queen Victoria School Drama Group
A Night Under Canvas by Lisa Hunt performed by Riverside Drama Club
Rattle Rattle by Jeannie van Rompaey performed by Killin Drama Club

Saturday night gave us the remaining 3 plays:

The Last Bread Pudding by Nick Warburton performed by Thornhill Players
After by Stewart Marshall performed by Stirling University Drama Society
A Man of Letters by Alan Firth performed by Killin Drama Club

The adjudicator was Ronald W Cattell.

Munro Trophy :
Awarded to the Fesitval Winner.

Awarded to the Festival Runners-up.

John M.S. McCabe Trophy:
Awarded to the production best depicting Scottish Life and Character.

Jean Sinclair Memorial Trophy:
Awarded for the best moment of theatre.

The winner was Kirkcaldy, with Edinburgh Graduates second and Killin DC third.
Best Stage Decor went to Killin DC, Best Production went to Kirkcaldy, Best Portrayal of play depicting Scottish Life and Character went to the Young Portonians, Best Moment of Theatre went to Tryst for the "Blue Ridge Mountain routine" ad the Best Comedy went to Edinburgh Graduates.
KADS and GRADS will be representing Eastern Division in the Scottish Final.
